WHERE THIS COURSE BEGAN
Fifteen years in the Food Forest.
For 15 years, I had the privilege of stewarding the food forest and apothecary at Whole Life Learning Center in Austin.
That garden became the heart of my work.
It was where I taught permaculture and herbalism, grew medicinal plants, made medicine and learned alongside hundreds of students and community members.
It was also where Community Herbalism Days and the Community Herbalism Apprenticeship took root—bringing people together to grow medicine, make remedies, share knowledge and care for the garden as a community.
Abundant Ecosystems grew from those years of teaching and practice.

Abundant Ecosystems brings together the practices that shaped my work in the Food Forest: permaculture design, medicinal plant cultivation, regenerative gardening and community herbalism.
The course explores how to create gardens that grow food and medicine while building soil, supporting biodiversity and strengthening our relationship with the places where we live.
