About
Abundant Ecosystems Permaculture + Herbalism for Growing Food, Medicine & Resilient Gardens Your garden is more than a collection of plants. It is a living ecosystem. Whether you are tending a few raised beds, a backyard garden, a community space, or acres of land, you are working within a web of relationships. Soil, water, insects, fungi, plants, people, weather, and the history of a place all shape what grows there. Abundant Ecosystems is about learning to see those relationships—and learning how to work with them. This self-paced course brings together two practices that have shaped the way I garden and teach: permaculture and community herbalism. Through the recorded classes, we explore permaculture principles and design, living soil, companion planting and polycultures, medicinal plant cultivation, propagation and harvesting, herbal energetics and actions, and medicine making. My hope is that you come away not only knowing more about how to grow and work with plants, but with a different way of seeing the place you tend. The herb garden, vegetable garden, orchard, pollinator garden, and surrounding landscape do not have to be separate things. They can be woven together into an abundant ecosystem. Your enrollment includes the complete recorded classroom portion of the original course, a 34-page Community Herbalism + Permaculture Guide, all course slideshows, permaculture design projects from past participants, and a library of herbalism, gardening, permaculture, and Central Texas growing resources gathered through years of teaching and working with plants. Originally offered live for $800–$1,200. Self-Paced Online Course · $189
