Community Herbalism Apprenticeship

I humbly offer this opportunity with the vision of weaving resilient community by sharing my practice of place based community herbalism and permaculture. This apprenticeship will support you to grow your home apothecary, grow confidence in your group facilitation and your hands on experience in land and community stewardship. This experience is for those who wish to journey together from October 2024 - May 2025. We will meet one day a week for 4 hours onsite at The Whole Life Learning Center as well as 2 Fridays a month from 10-1pm for Community Herbalism Days.

We will learn the medicinal plants that offer themselves through the seasons creating plant profiles to compile a materia-medica to support you on your herbalism journey for years to come. We will make herbal remedies side by side, steward the food forest, learn about tastes and impressions matched with herbal actions, systems of the body, tissue states and constitutional models to match medicinal plants with people to support their health and wellbeing. Each apprentice will take what they are learning and weave it back into community through facilitating experiences with the children and The Whole Life Learning Center, our community herbalists and your extended communities.

This apprenticeship is by application. It is free to apply. When you apply we will set up a time to meet in person or by phone. Cost for this experience is sliding scale. Each apprentice will pay a deposit of $500 and a monthly payment between $150 - $350 a month depending on what works for you. All of this we can talk through during the application process.

A note on the application: Answer the questions with ease and flow. These quesitons are intended to help guide our conversation. My webstite put a 30 min limit to apply that I can't turn off so be aware.
